Electrical Engineer, Project Manager, Consultant
Shelley has been with Ward Electric Company since 2010 and with Ward Engineering since 2013. He has 35 years of electrical engineering experience in the electric utility industry as Distribution Engineer, Transmission Engineer, Substation Engineer, Manager of Operations and Engineering along with Field Engineering and COO of an electrical distribution cooperative. Shelley graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and holds Professional Engineering Certificates in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Texas. Shelley lives on a ranch in Rye, CO with his wife, Charlene. They have one son, Tommy.
Eric has been with Ward Engineering since 2018. He has 30 years of electrical engineering experience in the electric utility industry as a control systems engineer, supervisor, power systems engineer & project manager. Eric was the vice president of a 25 person power systems consulting company for over 13 years. His experience includes protection and controls design, substation design, distribution and transmission line design, utility interconnection, power system modeling and studies, switchgear, project management, MCC design and field service. Eric graduated from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering. He continued on to the University of Colorado and graduated with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. Eric holds Professional Engineering Certificates in Colorado, Wyoming and Illinois. Eric lives on a ranch in Wellington, CO with his wife and three children.
Bill has over fifty-one years in the electric utility industry as Distribution Engineer, Transmission Engineer, Substation Engineer, and Assistant General Manager. For the last 31 years, his experience encompassed responsibilities of General Manager and CEO. For 3 years upon retirement, he worked as Director and Instructor for Trinidad State College Line Technical Program. Bill has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Auburn University.
Tommy has been with Ward Engineering since 2013. His service with Ward began originally as a contract electric meter reader. Tommy has since become involved in multiple facets of electrical engineering such as GIS, field staking, drafting, distribution line design, and various other aspects of work with Ward Engineering. He is trained in AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, TerraSync and GPS Pathfinder Office Software. Tommy holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University in Pueblo.
Susan has been with Ward Engineering since September 2018. Susan’s prior experience in Office Management, Accounting and Banking allow her to perform her duties as office manager and controller. Susan graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. She lives in Mead, CO with her husband, Keith and their 3 sons, Jaxon, Ryan & Austin. In her spare time, Susan likes to attend her kids sporting events and enjoys watching her husband coach football at UNC.
Brian has been with Ward Engineering since April 2018. His service with Ward includes staking and design of overhead and underground power lines. He is trained in AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, and several field staking programs and line design related software. Brian has been serving in the electrical engineering field for 12 years performing line design, inspection and consulting services in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma and is currently working in Texas. Prior to moving into electrical engineering, Brian worked in the civil engineering field performing QA/QC construction inspections and material testing. Brian currently lives in Loveland with his wife, Kari.
